Seeing
a Bass Boat in Minnesota 20 years ago meant a tourist from down south
was in town, but lately I see more and more Rangers, Skeeters and
Trackers fishing the waters of northern Minnesota and lots of them have
Minnesota registration. Bass fishing is probably most popular on Lake
Minnetonka and the Chisago Lakes area in Minnesota at least Largemouth
Bass fishing. On the lakes of Voyageurs National Park, Kab, Rainy,
Namakan, Crane and Sand Point Smallmouth Bass are so numerous they can
be a distraction when trying to fish for walleye. Each year around the
beginning of July the Fort Frances/Canadian Bass Open is held on Rainy
Lake drawing entries from around the US and Canada. It is fun to drive
through Fort Francis and International Falls and see the wide
assortment of Bass Boats parked at the Hotels, Motels and Resorts.
Some of these guys take fishing serious! If catching Bass
is your objective then you may want to take a look at Largemouth Bass
Extreme which will help YOU catch more bass! Who knows, maybe it'll be
your boat I am admiring next year in Fort Frances as they hand you the
first place check!
